  1. Statement of Commitment
This website respects the privacy of all visitors and is committed to collecting and storing any personal information in an ethical and appropriate manner.
  2. Why do we collect personal information?
We collect personally identifiable information that is specific and volunteered by visitors to this website. This information may include your name and email address. Information will not be disclosed to third parties.
  3. Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website uses to store information on your computer's hard disk . An examples is the use of cookies to provide aggregated information on how people use a website, including identifying the pages visited. Cookies do not personally identify users, although they do identify a user's browser. Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies. If you do not wish to receive any cookies you may set your browser to refuse cookies.
This website uses Google Analytics to track user activity across this website. This helps us make sure the content is relevant and easily accessible, and allows us to identify improvements that can be made to enhance the user experience.
    • If you allow cookies to be stored on your system, when you first visit this website Google Analytics will set a cookie (labelled __utma). This allows Google Analytics to determine the number of unique vistiors to the website.
    • At the same time, a cookie (labelled __utmb) is set. Each time you visit a subsequent page on this website Google Analytics will update the status of that cookie, to expire in 30 minutes time. This allows Google Analytics to calculate the duration of your visit to the website. (By default Google Analytics sets a cookie, labelled __utmc, which is used in conjunction with the __utmb cookie, but only by the Google Urchin tracking software and not Google Analytics).
    • Visitors to this website may access the website via a search engine, or a direct link and once in the website users will visit any number of pages. Google Analytics sets a cookie (labelled __utmz) to identify sources of website traffic and navigation across the website.
    • Each page on this website has a small section of JavaScript code which collects data on user activity across the site. The data collected by the JavaScript is determined by the values stored in the Google Analytics cookies. The data collected is held on Google servers.
  4. Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations
In the UK the new Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 (PECR) came into force on 26 May 2011. The directive requires UK organisations to obtain your explicit consent before cookies are stored on your system. This poses a number of technological challenges for website managers and there is currently no consensus on the best way to obtain consent. As such UK organisations have until May 2012 to implement an appropriate solution. This website is committed to complying with the regulations by that date; until then your consent as a user to have these cookies stored is assumed.
  5. Storage and security of your personal information
This website will use reasonable endeavours to keep secure any information which we hold about you, and to keep this information accurate and up to date. Your information is stored on secure servers that are protected in controlled facilities. To learn about how to be safer on the Internet and manage the information you share online visit the "Good to Know campaign", produced by Google and the Citizens Advice Bureau.
  6. Future changes
This website reserves the right to amend its privacy policy at any time for any reason. An updated version of the policy will be posted on this website.
